Study Business Informatics at ASW – Berufsakademie Saarland (2026/27)

ASW – Berufsakademie Saarland is a professional academy (Berufsakademie) based in Neunkirchen in the Saarland; the letters ASW stand for its former name, Akademie der Saarwirtschaft, and it has offered dual study programmes and continuing education for working professionals since 1991. It is one of four state-recognized Berufsakademien under private sponsorship in the Saarland, and since 2007 its programmes have led to accredited, state-recognized bachelor's degrees that are legally equivalent to university degrees. In 2021 it merged with the Hochschule für Technik und Wirtschaft des Saarlandes (htw saar) and now operates as ASW gGmbH under a joint sponsorship arrangement — its backers are the Saarland chamber of crafts (HWK), the chamber of industry and commerce (IHK), the employers' association VSU, and htw saar, and the degree programmes are run by htw saar in cooperation with the ASW. Its three-year dual bachelor's degrees in business administration, mechanical engineering, business informatics, and industrial engineering combine theory and practice seamlessly and prepare its roughly 300 students directly for the job market.
