The Academy of Languages is located in the historic center of the university city, a few meters from the Neckar River. From the school building you have a beautiful view of Heidelberg's old town, the castle, and into the Neckar valley.

Today, the Academy of Languages is one of the largest language schools in Germany. The language courses and exams in Heidelberg are attended by more than 10,000 language students and exam takers every year. Participants in the German courses come from over 100 countries every year.

Due to its international character, the school offers language students a unique opportunity to meet people of other languages and cultures, to deepen their newly acquired language skills in conversations in the hallways or in the school's break atrium, or during the cultural and sports activities offered several times a week.

With 70 multimedia-equipped classrooms (up to 85 in summer) and three Internet rooms with 50 PCs, free Internet access, WLAN, and thanks to its central location, the Academy of Languages meets all the requirements for making a language study trip to Heidelberg a special experience.

Several student dormitories with around 500 rooms, a boarding school, apartments, the school's own hotel, and numerous host families offer year-round accommodation to students coming from all over the world.
