The Hochschule für Gesellschaftsgestaltung, formerly known as the Cusanus Hochschule, is a private, non-profit university located in Koblenz, a city at the confluence of the Moselle and Rhine rivers in Germany. Founded in 2014 by a group of academics, students and citizens, the university was officially recognised in May 2015 as one of nine universities in the German state of Rhineland-Palatinate. The university's campus is located in the Dreikönigenhaus in Koblenz, where it will begin teaching and administrative operations in October 2021 after moving from its previous location in Bernkastel-Kues. The move to Koblenz has provided the university with a more urban setting, while maintaining its proximity to the picturesque Moselle and Rhine valleys.

Numerus Clausus (Admission Restriction)

For degree courses with a numerus clausus, part of the study places are allocated according to the grade point average (GPA) of the previous degree. Selection is generally based on how many applicants apply for a place. The higher the grade, the more difficult it is to get onto the course. The German grading system ranges from 1.0 (very good) to 6.0 (unsatisfactory).
