What makes the design akademie berlin special? Proven quality
They are a state-accredited institution. Their programs have received positive accreditation from the German Science Council. On April 30th, 2018, the German Science and Humanities Council decided to re-accredit the university for another five years. Graduates receive an internationally recognized bachelor's and master's degrees. These make it easy to start your professional life.

Special features in teaching
The focus is on competence- and project-based teaching. The students study and research real projects with and for partners from business, culture, politics and civil society. There is a higher than average number of full-time professors and numerous support professionals to help you on your professional journey. You yourself decide and choose your own course of study in the BA program: Depending on your desired number of final credits, you can study either six or seven semesters. They promote interdisciplinary exchanges. You can choose from the courses offered by our degree programmes and you can also benefit from the "Customize your studies" programme offered by the three SRH universities in Berlin. Use your studies as a springboard for your future: In the Start-up Lab, you can learn from the experiences of our founders and find professional support to found your own company.

Strength in research
You can set up your own research projects or take part in existing projects and collaborations, e.g. in their Institute for Ludology (link). In line with our study profile, they also support artistic projects.

Campus
New thinking needs space. They offer spacious rooms, studios, open and creative spaces. The campus of the design akademie berlin is located in the creative heart of the city, in Berlin-Kreuzberg, directly on Moritzplatz. Visit them at the Aufbau Haus and arrange a non-binding campus tour.

The environment
