The Hochschule fĂŒr Musik Saar (HfM Saar), also known as the University of Music Saar, is a renowned public university of music in SaarbrĂŒcken, the capital of the German state of Saarland. Founded in 1947 as the "Staatliches Konservatorium", it was renamed the Hochschule fĂŒr Musik Saar in 1971. With around 450 students from over 40 countries, the HfM Saar offers a diverse and international learning environment. The university offers a comprehensive musical education with a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in instrumental and vocal performance, composition, conducting, music education and music theory.

Numerus Clausus (Admission Restriction)

For degree courses with a numerus clausus, part of the study places are allocated according to the grade point average (GPA) of the previous degree.
