The University of Television and Film Munich (HFF Munich) is a publicly funded film school established in 1966 by decree of the Bavarian government. With approximately 350 students as of 2021, HFF Munich is one of Germany's most reputable film schools, offering a low teacher-to-student ratio of about 1:9 and a staff-to-student ratio of approximately 1:4. Located in the heart of Munich's Kunstareal museum district, the HFF Munich campus offers students state-of-the-art facilities, including three cinemas, a VR cinema and four film studios.
