Martha Rudka studied Translation Studies with the languages German, Spanish and English at the University of Heidelberg and is currently pursuing a PhD in Information Structure and Experimental Pragmatics at the Faculty of Modern Languages.

Prof. Dr. Mathias FrischGermany

Full Professor

Work experience:

From 1998 to 2003 he was employed as an "Assistant Professor" at Northwestern University. From 2003 to 2015 he worked at the University of Maryland, since autumn 2013 as a "Full Professor". From 2011 to 2013 Mathias Frisch was a guest at the Munich Center for Mathematical Philosophy at LMU, where he has been a permanent visiting professor since then. Since 2008 he has been a Research Associate at the Center for the Philosophy of the Natural and Social Sciences at the London School of Economics. Mathias Frisch has held the professorship for theoretical philosophy, especially philosophy of science, at Leibniz Universität Hannover since February 2016.

Degree:

Mathias Frisch studied philosophy and physics at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich and at the University of California in Berkeley. After leaving Munich, he first earned a Bachelor of Arts (1990) and a Masters of Arts (1992) in physics in Berkeley and then obtained a doctorate in philosophy (PhD 1998) on the role of models in scientific explanations.
