Founded in 1814 and reorganized as a university of applied sciences and arts in 1971, Coburg University has three campuses in Coburg, a northern Bavarian city of 41,000 people located between Nuremberg and Erfurt, and serves 5,000 students. This public institution offers bachelor's and master's programs in engineering, business administration, social work, health sciences, and design. Its design programs, including interior architecture and integrated product design, are particularly strong.
