Does the university recognize "other equivalent language certificates"? no
Additional information:
You may submit a language certificate, school certificate, or a degree awarded by an institution whose language of instruction is English. The minor subjects "Study Abroad" and "Curators' Track" are only offered in English. English language proficiency can also be proven with a German Abitur certificate if it expressly states the language level you have achieved, and this level is based on a KMK directive. Regarding German language requirements, you may submit a language certificate or fulfill the requirement of A1 German by the end of the second semester of study. An A1 certificate IIK Bayreuth can also prove German language knowledge.

- Secondary school leaving certificate with an overview of subjects and grades in sworn translation (in German or English).
- CV (covering all months of one’s educational and vocational background from primary school onwards).
Application documents submitted by UPLOAD:
- Preliminary review documentation uni-assist for University of Bayreuth: For this program, applicants without EU, EEA or Swiss citizenship who have obtained their degree abroad must apply via uni-assist and undergo a fee-based special procedure (Vorprüfungsdokumentation (VPD) - preliminary document review process). Please note: Due to uni-assist’s processing time you should apply for your VPD no later than 6-8 weeks prior to the application deadline.
