Five Reasons to choose this Preparation's Program

Course Description
KLU's Preparation Program is a unique English-language Studienkolleg designed to bridge the gap for international students who cannot directly enroll in a Bachelor's degree in Germany due to the recognition of their secondary school degree. This comprehensive 10-month program offers a blend of subject courses tailored for business studies, alongside German A2 and English C1 language courses. Students benefit from small class sizes and personalized attention from experienced instructors. The program culminates in the Feststellungsprรผfung (FSP), an entry exam conducted in Hamburg. Successful completion of the FSP enables students to directly join KLU's Bachelor of Science in Business Administration program, providing a seamless academic transition in a globally relevant field of study.

The Program (Studienkolleg) is a preparatory course for international students who wish to pursue a Bachelor's degree at KLU but do not possess a secondary school diploma that is considered equivalent to the German Abitur (the German secondary school leaving certificate).
Secondary school degrees from EU countries are generally recognized, and students from these countries typically do not need to attend Studienkolleg. In addition to EU countries, students from countries within the European Economic Area (EEA) and Switzerland also usually have their secondary school diplomas recognized.
For other countries, it is more complicated, and the recognition of secondary school degrees varies. Please check whether you need to attend the Studienkolleg or not in the DAAD database on Admission Requirements.

Testimonials
My name is Giovana, I am from Sao Paulo, Brazil. Be-fore starting my bachelors at KLU, I took part in the KLU Preparation Program (Studienkolleg in German). The program lasted for one year and it is required by the German government for most international students wanting to study at a German university. In this program, I gained basic knowledge of economics, mathematics, and geopolitics. It was a good introduction to the German approach to academia, and the knowledge I acquired there has helped me during my lectures.
