Course Description

As a major, you will earn 120 CP in English Studies, and 60 CP in the minor of your choice.

German university entrance qualification (HZB), usually a high school diploma or a technical college.

Alternatively, the language certificate can be provided by fulfilling one of the following requirements: participation and passing the entrance test, or an average of 11 or more points in English in the matriculation examination (the average is calculated from the points of the half-year reports from the qualifying phase and the achieved in the Baccalaureate score in advanced courses in English and will not be rounded up). The language certificate must not be older than two years at the time of application and must be enclosed with the general application documents in the following form: The higher education entrance qualification is submitted as a certified copy and is valid as proof of language proficiency if the guidelines of the Institute for English and American Studies (IEAS) are complied with, or one of the language certificates mentioned above must first be recognized by the Institute for English and American Studies (IEAS) and a copy of this certificate must then be submitted, or a certificate is automatically issued for passing the entrance test, a copy of which must be submitted. Applicants should have knowledge of at least one other foreign language - good knowledge of German is also required. Applicants with a foreign university entrance qualification must accordingly submit proof of language proficiency in the German language test for university entrance.
