Shape a Sustainable Future: Explore Environment & Energy at Rhine-Waal!
Five Reasons to Choose this Bachelor's Program

Course Description
The future of industrial societies depends on the sustainable use of resources. Facing environmental limits, solutions are needed to supply the high demand for energy and raw materials. At the same time, industries have to tackle emissions reduction and the challenges brought about by global climate change. The Environment and Energy degree program was developed to address that need. The program provides students with a broad knowledge base in natural sciences and engineering as well as a solid understanding of economics and IT. Its international focus and the technical English language skills gained throughout the course further expand students' skill sets, preparing them for future collaboration with experts in their subject area on a global scale.

The B.Sc. in Environment and Energy is mainly aimed at prospective international students who hold a university entrance qualification for German universities. Ideal for those wishing to gain critical knowledge about environmental and technical problems.

Testimonials
I have so many good memories from studying at HSRW. I would like to talk about one of them in particular: the interdisciplinary project in the fifth semester. I still remember the moment when all students studying at Kamp-Lintfort gathered in the Audimax to listen to the kick-off presentation held by professors to introduce all the topics that could be chosen for the project. It was my first time seeing that many students in one place after the opening ceremony. I really like this way of teaching that allows students from different study programs to work together to complete the same project.

I very much use the following competencies acquired during my Bachelor's in my professional life: Working in the laboratory (safety and quality), scientific working and writing (method, reports), research and analysis of information and legislation, Excel and VBA use. In my Master's, the following competencies, in addition to the background (contents), developed during the Bachelor are very useful: use of the computer (Matlab, Excel), critical thinking.
