Five Reasons to Choose this Bachelor's Program
Course Description
The future of industrial societies depends on the sustainable use of resources. Facing environmental limits, we need to find solutions that help to supply the high demand for energy and raw materials. At the same time, industries have to tackle emissions reduction and the challenges brought about by global climate change. We developed our Environment and Energy degree program to address that need. The programme will provide you with a broad knowledge base in natural sciences and engineering as well as a solid understanding of economics and IT. Our international focus and the technical English language skills you will gain throughout the course further expand your skill set, preparing you for future collaboration with experts in your subject area on a global scale.

In German Hochschulzugangsberechtigung (HZB): This proves that you have reached a sufficient level of schooling to attend a higher education institution in Germany. If you did not earn your HZB in Germany, then you must apply through uni-assist so that the equivalency of your international HZB can be established. Uni-assist establishes equivalency based on official guidelines from the Standing Conference of the Ministers of Education and Cultural Affairs (Kultusministerkonferenz), the German Rectors Conference (Hochschulrectorenkonferenz), and the Central Office for Foreign Education (Zentralstelle für ausländisches Bildungswesеn).
Testimonials
I have so many good memories from studying at HSRW. I would like to talk about one of them in particular: the interdisciplinary project in the fifth semester. I still remember the moment when all students studying at Kamp-Lintfort gathered in the Audimax to listen to the kick-off presentation held by professors to introduce all the topics that could be chosen for the project. It was my first time seeing that many students in one place after the opening ceremony. I really like this way of teaching that allows students from different study programs to work together to complete the same project.

I very much use the following competencies acquired during my Bachelor's in my professional life: Working in the laboratory (safety and quality), scientific working and writing (method, reports), research and analysis of information and legislation, Excel and VBA use. In my Master's, the following competencies, in addition to the background (contents), developed during the Bachelor are very useful: use of the computer (Matlab, Excel), critical thinking.
