Students with a university entrance qualification obtained in Germany can apply directly to Freie Universität. Applicants who have obtained their university entrance qualification abroad are required to apply via uni-assist.

Additional information:
English language proficiency can also be proven by the International Baccalaureate (IB) Standard or Higher Level (SL / HL): 5 in English, or 1 year at a university in an English-speaking country, including successful participation in several linguistically demanding courses, or a minimum of 12 points (advanced course / increased requirement level) in the written part of the Abitur exam for English. English language certificates must not be older than 3 years. Please submit a copy of the respective certificate to the attention of [email protected]. No German proficiency is needed for this program.

Completed application form.
Notarized copy of your high school leaving certificate or diploma, including an official transcript with your GPA.
Any qualifications, certifications, or transcripts that are in a language other than German or English will need to be submitted alongside a certified translation. Make sure you leave yourself enough time before the deadline to get certified copies and translations of the required documents.
