This bachelor's degree course, which lasts three years or six semesters, lays the foundations of philosophy and economics. The students are introduced to handling difficult decision-making problems in an exemplary manner, so they are well-prepared for an immediate start in their careers. Upon completing the bachelor's degree, they are awarded the Bachelor of Arts (BA) title. The academic degree of BA is a first professional qualification.

Preliminary examination documentation (VPD) uni-assist for the University of Bayreuth: Applicants who are not citizens of the EU, EEA or Switzerland must first have their documents evaluated by uni-assist in the special preliminary examination documentation (VPD) procedure for this degree program, for a fee. Due to the processing time by uni-assist, the preliminary examination documentation (VPD) for the application to the University of Bayreuth should be requested at least 6-8 weeks before the application deadline at the University of Bayreuth.
