Course Description
This bachelor's degree course, which lasts three years or six semesters, lays the foundations of philosophy and economics. The students are introduced to handling difficult decision-making problems in an exemplary manner, so they are well-prepared for an immediate start in their careers. Upon completing the bachelor's degree, they are awarded the Bachelor of Arts (BA) title. The academic degree of BA is a first professional qualification.

For the obtention of the VPD via uni-assist: € 75 for the first application, € 30 for each additional
Application Documents
- Preliminary examination documentation (VPD) uni-assist for the University of Bayreuth: Applicants who are not citizens of the EU, EEA or Switzerland must first have their documents evaluated by uni-assist in the special preliminary examination documentation (VPD) procedure for this degree program, for a fee.
Due to the processing time by uni-assist, the preliminary examination documentation (VPD) for the application to the University of Bayreuth should be requested at least 6-8 weeks before the application deadline at the University of Bayreuth. - Identity card/passport.
- German language certificate (see language requirements).
- Secondary school certificate with subject and grade overview: Original language + sworn translation in German or English.
- Tabular CV: Please download and fill out the template provided in the course application info page.
- Application form of the bachelor of Philosophy and Economics is provided as an Excel table in CAMPUSonlinе.
