Augsburg: List of all State Exam programs (2026/27)

Augsburg offers international students the rare combination of deep historical roots and forward-thinking education in one of Germany's most underrated cities. Founded by the Romans over 2,000 years ago, this vibrant Bavarian city blends medieval charm, UNESCO World Heritage sites, and picturesque canals with a dynamic modern economy—all without the crowds or costs of nearby Munich, which sits just 30 minutes away by train. Two universities serve the city: the University of Augsburg and the Technical University of Applied Sciences Augsburg, together offering diverse programmes across humanities, sciences, engineering, and business, with particular strengths in environmental studies and innovative technologies. The city's robust industrial sector, home to global companies like MAN and KUKA Robotics, provides strong internship pipelines and career opportunities that give graduates a genuine head start.
