Ethnography is a qualitative research method used in the social and cultural sciences that aims to understand the lives, behaviors, and perspectives of people in their natural environment. Students learn to examine social groups in detail through observation, interviews, and long-term field research, and to analyze cultural patterns and everyday practices. The focus is on a deep, context-related understanding of human living environments. Ethnographic skills are in demand in many areas, such as research, media, NGOs, market and user research, design thinking, and intercultural consulting.
