Top State Exam Study Programs in Regensburg (2026/27)

Regensburg offers international students a remarkable setting: one of Europe's best-preserved medieval cities combined with a vibrant, youthful university culture. This UNESCO World Heritage city along the Danube features ancient Roman foundations, Gothic masterpieces, and winding cobblestone streets that survived World War II unscathed. The University of Regensburg, with strengths in medicine, law, business, and humanities, anchors an academic community of around 35,000 students—nearly 20% of the city's population. The intimate old town, centred on the magnificent Gothic cathedral and the 12th-century Stone Bridge, provides an inspiring backdrop unlike any other German university city.
