Kursbeschreibung
The Master's degree program in Physics aims to provide students with advanced specialist knowledge, skills, and methods required for scientific work and scientifically oriented jobs. The program enables them to critically classify and use new scientific findings in their professional careers. Knowledge and skills that are acquired by the Master's program and developed beyond the Bachelor's level are in particular:
- Advanced basic knowledge of physics.
- Advanced knowledge in several branches of physics.
- In-depth knowledge at an international level in one field of physics leads to the current state of research.
- Knowledge of modern methodology in one or more specialized areas of physics.
- The ability to use current scientific material appropriately for your work.
- The ability to work creatively, independently, and autonomously.
- The ability to develop, apply, and appropriately present scientific results.
- The ability to work on a comprehensive and demanding project in a focused manner using appropriate scientific methods.
- The ability to organize and carry out an independent project in the context of a larger working group.
International Track
This degree program has an international track. This means that the curriculum can be studied entirely in German or entirely in English within the standard period of study. This can lead to limited study options. Voraussetzungen
Qualifikationsvoraussetzungen
Bachelor's degree in physics or with a focus on physics.
Minimum standard period of study: 6 semesters.
Required ECTS credits: 180.
The following is also required:
- Skills in conducting physical experiments and a basic, well-founded understanding of the physical relationships in all of the following areas of experimental physics: mechanics, electrodynamics, optics, quantum physics, thermodynamics, and atomic physics.
- Basic understanding of the theoretical deductive concepts in all of the following areas of physics: mechanics, electrodynamics, quantum mechanics, and statistical mechanics.
- Well-founded skills in analysis and linear algebra, including the ability to provide proofs in these arеas.

Die folgenden Zertifikate werden als Nachweis deiner Sprachkenntnisse anerkannt.
