Are you fascinated by the idea of a future in which sun, wind, and water meet our energy needs? Do you want to play an active role in shaping the energy transition? Do you want to further deepen your knowledge of the pioneering technologies of renewable energies, energy storage, and grid infrastructure?
Then the master's program in Renewable Energies is the right choice for you. The program is offered at the newly founded Cologne Institute for Renewable Energy of the Faculty of Plant, Energy, and Mechanical Systems with the support of the Faculty of Information, Media and Electrical Engineering and the Institute of Technology in the Tropics.
Voraussetzungen
Qualifikationsvoraussetzungen
Bachelor's degree in renewable energies or a comparable course of study.
Required ECTS credits: 210.
If the requirements are not fully met, admission can only be granted on the condition that missing prior knowledge is made up by successfully attending certain courses from bachelor's degree programs.
Applicants who have not yet completed their relevant degree can take part in the selection process if they can prove at the time of application that they are still missing 30 credit points to obtain their degree (i.e. at least 150 out of 180 credit points for 6-semester degree programs, 180 out of 210 credit points for 7-semester degree programs).
In these cases, enrollment is subject to the condition that successful completion with a minimum grade of 2.5 is proven by the end of the re-registration period for the 2nd semester, otherwise, the student will be exmatriculated.
Please note: If the criteria are met after the application deadline, consideration is no longer possiblе.
An overall grade of the first university degree of at least 2.5, which proves the necessary professional qualifications for the master's degree program. The decision on relevance is made by the examination bοard.
