Applicants must hold a recognized first university degree
Subject-Specific Requirements:
Total of 75 CP required, distributed as follows:
At least 55 CP in fundamental engineering areas such as Mathematics, Mechanics, Chemistry, Electrical Engineering, Thermal Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Thermodynamics, Process Engineering, Computer Science, and Technical Drawing.
At least 20 CP in areas like Raw Materials Technology, Mining Law, Processing Techniques, Recycling Technology, Geology and Mineralogy, Surveying, and Environment and Sustainability.
Coursework must be comparable to that in RWTH's bachelor's programs in related fields.
Conditional Admission:
If an applicant needs to fulfill additional coursework or requirements beyond what they've already completed, the total amount of these additional courses must not exceed 30 CP.
Zusätzliche Qualifikation
Language Proficiency:
German proficiency is required for the Mining and Recycling specializations.
English proficiency is required for the Repository Safety specialization.
Internship Requirement:
Proof of completing 20 working days of practical work experience is required, as detailed in the Guidelines for Internships.
