The program is delivered 100 % online, with optional on-campus classes in Berlin, Germany.

Qualification Requirements
Bachelor's degree in any subject interested in artificial intelligence technology and societies. You do not need a Computer Science or informatics background for this program. A background in social sciences, art, design, or any media subject is a plus but not mandatory.

Application Procedure & Selection
For the application via uni-assist: € 75 for the first application (will be reimbursed by HMKW after enrollment and upon presentation of the original payment receipt)
Application Documents
You can apply for a place at any time up to the start of your studies, but it is recommended that you apply early in order to ensure optimal preparation for your studies.
You will receive an e-mail confirming receipt of your application with the request to send the following application documents by e-mail:
- Letter of motivation.
- Your technical college or university entrance qualification.
- The degree certificate of your undergraduate studies (bachelor, magister, Diplom, etc.) plus diploma supplement (EU only). If you do not yet have your degree certificate from your undergraduate studies, please send a current grade certificate instead and submit the certificate later.
- Proof of your academic achievements in your undergraduate studies (transcript of records): Credit points and module content descriptions (in German or English).
- In the case of a foreign university entrance qualification, state recognition* of equivalence to the German university entrance qualification (Abitur).
- In the case of a foreign undergraduate degree, an authorized translation of the certificate, if applicable.
- For non-native speakers of English (see language requirements).
- If applicable, further proof of competence and qualification relevant to the study program regarding education and further training, professional practical experience, etc.
As soon as the university has these documents in digital form, an appointment will be arranged for the selection interview with you.
Please bring certified copies of your UAS or university entrance qualification and your undergraduate degree certificate plus a Diploma Supplement (EU only).
*It can be obtained from the Zeugnisanerkennungsstelle der Berliner Senatsverwaltung, Uni-Assist, or other service providers. The costs for the certificate evaluation by Uni-Assist in the amount of 75 euros will be reimbursed by HMKW after enrollment and upon presentation of the original payment receipt.
