You must achieve 70 points to meet the special entry requirements.

You will receive:

50, 40, 30 or 20 points depending on your first university degree (e.g. Bachelor's degree) compared to the Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering at TU ILmenau

• 50 points in equivalent degree programs
• 40 points in almost equivalent degree programs
• 30 points in closely related degree programs
• 20 points in other degree programs

20, 10 or 5 points for the final grade of the degree program

• 20 points for a very good final grade,
• 10 points for a good final grade,
• 5 points for a final grade that is not very good or good.

For the grades "good" or "very good" in the following subjects or subject groups relevant to the degree program, 5 points are awarded in each case (a maximum of 15 points can be achieved here):

• Medical basics,
• Modeling in biomedical engineering,
• Biosignal processing.

In addition, the completion of a Bachelor's thesis or equivalent work graded as "good" or "very good" or proven qualified professional experience of at least one year is awarded 5 points.

A maximum of 90 points could therefore be achieved.
