Previous Degree

Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in the physics course or in courses with essentially the same content, in particular medical technology, computer science (with a physics component of min. 6 ECTS), biomedical engineering, engineering, or a degree recognized as equivalent.

Minimum standard period of study: 3 years.
Required ECTS credits: 180.

Proof must be attached to the application in the original or as a certified copy. and b) the current transcript of the course, officially issued by the university, which is a prerequisite for admission in accordance with Number 1. and c) current evidence of sufficient knowledge of English, evidenced by one of the following certificates (1) IELTS (Academic) with a total score of at least 6.5 - not less than 6.0 in each section, not older than two years at the time of application (2) TOEFL iBT (internet-based test) with a total score of at least 92 - not less than 21 in each sub-area, at the time of application no older than two years (3) TOEFL CBT (computer-based test) with a total score of at least 237 - not less than 21 in each section, not older than two years at the time of application (4) TOEFL PBT (paper-based test) with a total score of at least 580 - not less than 55 in each section, not older than two years at the time of application (5) Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English - CAE (Certificate of Advanced English) Except for (1) applicants whose native language is English and their e have completed schooling in one of the following countries: Canada, United States, United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Ireland, New Zealand, Australia (2) Applicants who have completed the university degree on which the application is based in one of the following countries: Canada, United States, United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Ireland, New Zealand, Australia or have completed their studies in English. and d) a letter of motivation from the applicant in English, which shows (1) why the applicant is aiming for the subject "Biomedical Engineering" and how the course fits into the desired career path (2) which prerequisites he or she believes to be relevant e) two letters of recommendation if possible by professors from the university at which the final examination, which is a prerequisite for admission to this master's degree, has been completed and who should be sent directly to the admissions office by the exhibitors; if this evidence is not in German or English, an officially certified translation in German or English is required. f) a curriculum vitae in English showing whether there are other practical activities, research experience or other achievements that can provide specific information about the suitability for the chosen course of study g) if the evidence of the requirements according to c) and e) is available during the application period not yet available, they can be submitted on request up to one month after the application ends. The application must be made in writing with the application.
