Course Description
If you have already successfully completed a first degree in "Business Informatics", "Computer Science " or "Economics" and want to expand your IT skills to include the all-dominant topics in information technology "Big Data" and the "Internet of Things" as well as "Consulting Competence" with a Master's degree, then you've come to the right place!
You can also study the master's of Business Informatics with a focus on Data Science & Consulting as part of a dual degree - in a coordinated practice-integrated master's program with selected practice cooperation partners.
Requirements
Qualification Requirements
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Business Informatics, Economics, Computer Science, or a comparable degree.
Required ECTS credits: 180.
Applicants who did not complete their first degree in Business Informatics or Economics must demonstrate basic knowledge in business disciplines such as accounting (bookkeeping and cost accounting), investments and financing, human resources, marketing, production management, logistics, or corporate management. Proof is deemed to have been provided if at least 20 ECTS (European credits) have been earned in such courses. Alternatively, knowledge gained through self-study can be proven in a written business administration entrance examination on these topics, in which at least 50% of the maximum points were achieved.
Applicants who did not complete their first degree in Business Informatics or Computer Science must demonstrate basic knowledge of programming, databases, and modeling as well as web applications. The proof is deemed to have been provided through successful participation in a written/practical IT entrance examination on these topics, in which at least 50% of the maximum points were achieved. Upon application, the assistant of the degree program will give you access to an OLAT course that conveys the abovementioned knowledge.
Applicants may also apply if they have not yet completed a bachelor's degree program or an equivalent degree, but can guarantee that they will obtain the degree within one semester of enrolling in the master's degree program. This must be proven through suitable documents (overview of completed and outstanding achievements) by the end of the application deadline; the scope of outstanding achievements may not exceed 30 credit points; at the same time, applicants must prove at the time of application that they have already registered for the final thesis of the undergraduate degree prοgrams.
An overall grade of 2.7 or bettеr.
