The prerequisite for a master's degree program at the University of Potsdam is usually a first academic degree, e.g. a bachelor's degree. The degree should be in a subject relevant to the degree program, e.g. geoecology, environmental sciences, or physics, and should comprise at least 180 CPs (credit points). Alternatively, applicants may have a first degree in natural sciences and have successfully completed modules totaling at least:
12 CP in Physics.
12 CP in Earth and Environmental Sciences.
12 CP in mathematics.
12 CP in science-orientated modules.
Note: You should have earned a total of at least 48 CP in these four arеas.

Additional information:
English language knowledge can also be proven by a degree certificate for the completion of an English-language degree program at a recognized institution of higher education, or a certificate of the higher education entrance qualification obtained for an English language course of education in a country that has English as an official language, or College English Test (CET; China) Band 6 with at least 550 points. Other certificates or credentials recognized as equivalent will be published on the University of Potsdam’s website in accordance with the LSK’s decision before the start of the application process.
