Previous Degree
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent):
- a first degree (e.g. Bachelor, Magister, Diplom, Staatsexamen) at an academic university in Germany or abroad on the basis of at least 3 years of study in one of the following subjects is part of this degree: English/American Studies (English), Scandinavian studies (Danish), German studies (German), Romance studies (French, Spanish), cultural studies, media studies, art or textiles, as well as comparable courses that study at least 60 credit points in at least one of the following focus areas in the master’s course Culture - Language - Media were: literary studies, linguistics, cultural studies, media studies, art/visual culture. or
- a degree from the Bachelor's degree 'European Cultures and Societies' (EUCS) at the Europa-Universität Flensburg, or
- a degree in the bachelor's degree in cultural and language mediators as part of the German-Danish cooperation between the Syddansk Universitet and the European University of Flensburg.

If the BA has already been completed completely and successfully at the time of application and the final documents have already been handed over:
- Application form of the online procedure.
- Supplement to the application form.
- University entrance qualification, e.g. high school diploma (simple copy).
- Certificate of completion (simple copy).
- Transcript of records (simple copy).
- Proof of sufficient German language skills (applicants without a German university entrance qualification or a degree in a German-language degree program, see language requirements).
- Proof of sufficient English language skills (see language requirements).
- Current certificate of study or exam certificate of the last German university attended (only external applicants*).
- Optional: addressed and sufficiently stamped return envelope (DIN A 4 or DIN A 5, not cardboard-bound) for the return of application documents in case of non-consideration.
If the BA has not yet been completed at the time of application or the final documents have not yet been handed over:
- Application form of the online procedure.
- Supplement to the application form.
- University entrance qualification, e.g. high school diploma (simple copy).
- Daily printout of the sheet account or the Transcript of records, as a single copy [the transcript must show the calculated average score. If this is missing, the current grade must be proven by a letter from the Examination Office (original or officially certified). If no grade is provided, the grade point average is set at 4.0].
- Proof of sufficient German language skills (applicants without a German university entrance qualification or a degree in a German-speaking program of study, see language requirements).
- Proof of sufficient English language skills (see language requirements).
- Current certificate of study or exam certificate of the last German university attended (only external applicants*).
- Optional: addressed and stamped return envelope (DIN A4 or DIN A 5, not carded) for returning the application documents in case they are not considered in the selection process.
