Previous Degree

Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in electrical engineering and/or IT (or related field).

In addition, applicants must pass an assessment test. The assessment test is composed of complex problems in advanced mathematics for engineering, as well as in the principles of electrical engineering and information technology and their applications.

Overall grade of at least 'good'.

The Selection Committee can allow a candidate to take an aptitude test if he/she has successfully completed a Bachelor or diploma program in electrical engineering, information technology or related disciplines with an overall examination result of at least 2.5 or has above-average knowledge in mathematics, physics and the basics of electrical engineering.

Additional information:
English language proficiency can also be proven by the CET (College English Test), the GMAT (Graduate Management Admission Test), or the LanguageCert International ESOL Qualifications. You are exempted from providing an English language certificate test if you are a holder of a German university entrance qualification (Abitur, Fachhochschulreife, etc. obtained either in Germany or at a German school abroad) with English as a graduating subject, or if you have proof of completed degree program conducted in English, or if you have proof of at least one year of studies at a university in an English speaking country, or if you are a holder of a graduation certificate of a school in an English speaking country. According to the study regulations the German course B1/part 1 and 2 need to be successfully completed during the studies. The language certificate must be less than 2 years old.
