Additional information:
If German is not the candidate´s first language, German A2 certification must be provided by the end of the second semester. It is advised that all successful applicants will have to write a German placement test upon arrival at the university. The placement test serves to help the university help you achieve your German requirements more efficiently. German courses are offered free of charge during the semester. Intensive German courses can be taken for a small fee during the semester breaks. If English is not the candidate´s first language, proof of English proficiency must be provided. English proficiency can also be proven by CET (College English Test), GMAT (Graduate Management Admission Test), LanguageCert International ESOL Qualifications. The following people are exempt from providing English language certificates (subject to case-by-case review): holders of German university entrance qualifications (Abitur, Fachhochschulreife, or equivalent, in Germany or at a German school abroad) with English as the field of examination, holders of graduation certificates from schools from English-speaking countries (only applies for United Kingdom, Ireland, United States, Australia, New Zealand, Oceania, Canada), or proof of at least one-year studies at a university in an English-speaking country (only applies for United Kingdom, Ireland, United States, Australia, New Zealand, Oceania, Canada). Language certificates must be less than 2 years old.
