Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Mathematics, Forensic Sciences or Bioinformatics. Knowledge of English is essential (including German Abitur of English at level B2). Knowledge of German is not required. Our online interview process ensures alignment with your academic background.
Our programme runs over four semesters and includes hands-on laboratory practicals, cutting-edge computational techniques and lectures, delivered by active researchers in evolutionary biology. In the second term, you will have the flexibility to specialise your studies, whether you’re focussed on molecular biotic interactions, evolutionary ecology, anthropology or computational and theoretical biology.

Previous Degree
Bachelor's degree in biology, another natural science, medicine, mathematics, forensics, or computer science is the basic requirement for applying for the course. A total of at least 27 credit points (LP) must be demonstrated in the areas of evolutionary biology, biostatistics, or bioinformatics.
