In-depth knowledge of and expertise in modern financial mathematics and actuarial science, and the ability to apply these statistically and numerically, are becoming increasingly important in the financial and insurance sectors.
The distance learning program is aimed at graduates of mathematics or other subjects with significant proportions of mathematics who wish to acquire a detailed understanding of financial mathematics.
Teaching-Learning-Format
The teaching-learning format consists of comprehensive, scientifically sound, and practice-oriented self-study materials that have been developed by experts, especially for distance learning, an online campus as an interactive learning platform, and on-campus phases to consolidate the knowledge that is acquired through self-study in theory and practice. Mandatory on-campus phases take place once per semester over a (long) weekend in Kaiserslautern.
