Course Description
What will the future sound like — and how can we shape it responsibly with AI? This international, transdisciplinary master's at the University of Hildesheim unites music, sound studies, and cultural studies with computer science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence. Taught entirely in English, it blends rigorous analytical theory with creative practice and team-based research projects, frequently in collaboration with industry partners. You'll explore how emerging technologies reshape auditory cultures — and learn to guide that change with foresight, critical insight, and a strong sense of responsibility for the worlds we build.

This master's suits graduates with a bachelor's in computer science, data science, AI, music, musicology, sound or cultural studies, anthropology, or music sociology. You're curious about transdisciplinary work, drawn to research and analysis, and motivated to tackle the social and technological questions shaping the future of sound. English at B2 level is required.
