The Master of Science in Geodesy and Geoinformatics (M.Sc. Geodäsie und Geoinformatik) has a duration of two years (four semesters) and comprises 120 ECTS credits.
The Master programme offers the possibilty to specialise in one of the following areas of concentration:
- geodetic measurement technology - GMT (German programme),
- geoinformation technology - GIT (German programme) or
- hydrography (English programme)
The specialisation in hydrography presents a distinctive feature, unique in Germany: the programme has been internationally certified in the A category (the highest level) of the FIG/IHO/ICA-Standards of Competence of Hydrographic Surveyors.

Previous Degree
Bachelor's or Master's degree in hydrography, surveying, geodesy, and geoinformatics, or related fields.
If the result of your first academic degree is not available before the end of the application period, please submit a simple copy of your transcript of records showing your current Grade Point Average (GPA) and academic records with a minimum of 130 Credit Points (CP) reached.

Additional information:
English language proficiency can also be proven by providing proof of a functional stay of a minimum of 4 months in an anglophone country, or by proof of minimum 20 CP's course achievement in an anglophone study-program, or by providing the advanced technical college certificate or the final grade certificate of year 12 or 13 of Germany secondary school in each case with the grade satisfactory (minimum 3,0 or 8 Points according to the German grade system in secondary school), or by the attendance of minimum one year at a general-education school.
