English language proficiency can also be proven by providing proof that English is the applicant’s native language, by providing proof that the applicant obtained either of the following from an English-speaking country: a higher education entrance qualification or a qualification from an academic institution enabling them to be employed in a recognized professional field (typically, a bachelor’s degree), or by having achieved a grade of at least ‘good’ (at least 10 from 15 points) in an advanced English Abitur class or equivalent (Abitur: German higher education entrance qualification). Equivalence shall be determined by the ‘Sports Science’ Examination Board at the Faculty of Human and Business Sciences at Saarland University.
