Requirements
Qualification Requirements
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in pharmacy, pharmaceutics, biology, chemistry, or engineering with a focus on processing technologies.
Minimum standard period of study: 6 semesters.
Academically relevant is a study course at a German university or a university outside Germany that matches the following criteria:
- completed the second part of the pharmacy state examination in Germany, or
- Bachelor of Science degree in pharmacy where:
- at least 120 credit points were earned in pharmacy, thereof
- at least 20 credit points in Pharmaceutical Chemistry,
- at least 20 credit points in Pharmaceutical Biology/Biochemistry/Biotechnology,
- at least 20 credit points in Pharmaceutical Technology/Biopharmaceutics, or
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering:
- at least 120 credit points were earned in Engineering, thereof
- at least 20 credit points in Basic Natural Sciences,
- at least 20 credit points in Technical subjects,
- at least 20 credit points Mathematics/Process Engineering, or
- Bachelor of Science degree in Biology:
- at least 120 credit points were earned in Biology, thereof
- at least 20 credit points in Molecular Biology/Genetics,
- at least 20 credit points in Biology/Biotechnology,
- at least 20 credit points in Chemistry/Biochemistry, or
- Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry:
- at least 120 credit points were earned in Chemistry, thereof
- at least 20 credit points in Physical Chemistry,,
- at least 20 credit points in Organic Chemistry,
- at least 20 credit points in Analytical Chemistry.
In case you have not completed your bachelor program yet, an interim certificate with at least 80% of examination and study achievements has to be submitted instead. The total mark should be at least 2.5 according to the German system.
A grade of 2.5 or better (in the German grading system, where 1.0 is the best grade).

Application Documents
The entry application is made by sending an email to: [email protected] The applicant has to submit the following documents:
- Evidence for completion of the first qualifying study course. If there is no degree certificate at the time of application, a preliminary certificate has to be submitted containing the grades of the first five semesters, or in the case of pharmacy students from Germany the admission to the second part of the pharmaceutical examination (“Pharmazeutische Prüfung”). The final degree certificate has to be submitted until 30th September of the same year.
- Confirmation for the study courses and results, e.g. provided as a Transcript of Records.
- Confirmation for the filing of a Bachelor thesis. This is not required for pharmacy students from Germany.
- Evidence for sufficient language skills (see language requirements).
- Curriculum vitae.
- Copy of passport or identity card..
- Where applicable, documents confirming an extraordinary hardship, e.g. disability certificate or medical testimonial.
