Requirements

Qualification Requirements

Previous Degree

Bachelor's degree (or equivalent). While most of our students hold a previous degree in law, natural sciences, engineering, or management, we also welcome students from other disciplines.

Minimum standard period of study: 4 years.
Required ECTS credits: 240.

If the Bachelor's program was a three-year program (180 ECTS credits or equivalent), an applicant may be admitted if he or she has gained an additional year of professional experience (two years in total).

Work Experience

Applicants need to have acquired at least one year (self-financing students) or two years (applicants for a DAAD scholarship) of professional experience after their first university degree. This means that work done during undergraduate studies (before obtaining the Bachelor's degree) cannot be counted. Apart from actual employment in a paid position, professional experience also includes internships, work as a research assistant (postgraduate), and work during a legal clerkship.
