Requirements
Qualification Requirements
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent).
Minimum standard period of study: 6 semesters.
Required ECTS credits: 180.
Evidence of acquired skills in the following areas to the minimum extent specified (as part of the acquisition of one of the degrees in accordance with the ECTS point scheme used at the JMU for these bachelor's degree programs ):
- Competences from modules amounting to at least 20 ECTS points in the areas of mathematics, statistics, econometrics, and application-oriented business informatics, with at least 15 ECTS points in the areas of mathematics, Statistics, and econometrics are to be proven.
- Competences from modules amounting to at least 30 ECTS credits in the field of economics, in particular from the following core areas: Basics of economics (introduction), microeconomics, macroeconomics, and economic policy.
- Competences from modules amounting to at least 35 ECTS points in the field of economics, in particular from the following core areas: Basics of business administration (introduction), External and internal company accounting, procurement, production and logistics, investment and financing, market-oriented corporate management, Innovation and entrepreneurship and fundamentals of economics (introduction).
The required skills are taught in particular within the framework of the courses at JMU. Missing modules of a maximum of 10 ECTS points from economics can be replaced by modules from the fields of mathematics, statistics, econometrics, business informatics, and computer science. This also takes into account the methodical-analytical demands of the master's program in International Economic Policy.
