First-hand insights into the Master Management Franco-Allemand [French]
Course Description
Fluent in German, French, and English? The Master International Management Franco-Allemand (IMFA) at Mainz University of Applied Sciences turns your language talent into a genuine career asset. As one of the very few trilingual study programs anywhere in Germany, this double-degree master's combines solid business administration with Franco-German management expertise. You study in both Mainz and Metz, gain ten full months of work experience through two integrated internships, and graduate with degrees from two countries plus the certificate of the Franco-German University (DFH) — a genuinely rare profile that opens doors at globally active companies.

The MFA is made for people who feel at home in several languages and cultures — graduates from any discipline, whether business, Romance studies, linguistics, translation, or psychology. You love switching between German, French, and English, are curious about the Franco-German business world, and want to turn your language talent and intercultural flair into an international management career.
Special Program Features
Monthly mobility grant included
During your study and internship phases abroad, the Franco-German University supports you with a monthly mobility grant of around €350 — Erasmus+ funding can be added on top. → More Info
Metz, your French home base
Metz charms you with genuine French flair: crêpes at Place Saint-Louis, the idyllic Temple Neuf on the Moselle — and Luxembourg, Strasbourg, and Germany are right nearby.
Mainz, In the heart of Rhine-Main
Mainz sits in one of Germany's strongest economic regions: leading companies, downtown Frankfurt, and the international airport are all just a short ride away from campus.
Integrated Double Degree
The double degree is fully integrated into the study program. All students follow the same schedule together and automatically earn the Master of Arts (M.A.) International Management Franco-Allemand from Mainz University of Applied Sciences, the M.A. Master Administration des Entreprises (MAE) from the Université de Lorraine, and the certificate of the Franco-German University (DFH). The sequence is fixed. The first semester takes place at the IAE Metz School of Management (Université de Lorraine), followed by an internship of at least five months in the second semester. You spend the third semester at Mainz University of Applied Sciences and combine another internship with your master's thesis in the fourth. As a rule, internships take place in the respective foreign-language environment – German students work at French-speaking companies and vice versa, including in Luxembourg, Switzerland, Belgium, or Québec. With proof of C1 language skills, the second internship can also be completed in your home country, though without the DFH mobility grant in that case.

Testimonials
The MFA is particularly suitable for people who want to gain a lot of practical experience in a wide range of fields – whether HR, marketing, finance, or elsewhere.
The best thing about studying the MFA is the close-knit international network and the access to attractive companies. The MFA is suitable both for people who know exactly where they want to go and for those who are still finding their way.
I chose the MFA because I wanted to add a business administration master's on top of my humanities bachelor's, and I found it very appealing that the study program includes two academic semesters and two practical semesters.
