Course Description
The MA Journalism, Media & Globalisation is a double degree program run by LMU in cooperation with an international consortium of universities in Europe and overseas, including Aarhus University, the University of Amsterdam, City University of London, Charles University, the University of California, Berkeley, and other renowned universities around the globe. The collaboration is co-funded by the EU's Erasmus+ Program.
Students spend their first year at Aarhus University and transfer to LMU for their second year.
Please note that application through LMU is not permitted.
Requirements
Qualification Requirements
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in a relevant subject.
Required ECTS credits: 180.
Subjects within bachelor's programs in Arts/Humanities and Social Sciences are by default considered to be relevant. Applicants who have completed other programs, but whose qualifications are deemed by the Consortium to be relevant and adequate, may also be offered admissiοn.
Due to the nature of the Mundus Journalism program, journalistic skills are required before course start, hence we ask for at least 3 months’ journalistic experiencе.
To ensure that the best candidates are admitted, the Consortium has decided to give priority to academic merit; candidates will only be admitted if they have an above-average bachelor’s degree (a minimum of an above-average class mark/GPA is expectеd).

Application Documents
Students holding a bachelor's degree from China, India, and Vietnam need to present an APS Certificate for admission to LMU Munich. APS Certificates are issued by the Cultural Departments of the German Embassy in Beijing and Shanghai and the Academic Evaluation Centers in Hanoi and New Dеlhi.
