Five Reasons to choose this Master's Program

Course Description
In the M.Sc. Climate and Environmental Change, students explore the geographic dimensions of global climate and environmental changes—from pre-industrial developments to today's crises. With a strong foundation in climate science and physical geography, students investigate how natural and human-induced changes differ, analyze geoarchives, and develop adaptation strategies for a changing planet. The program combines theory and practice through labs, fieldwork, and interdisciplinary research, with specialization options like paleoclimatology, geoarchaeology, urban climatology, and more.

This master's program is aimed at graduates in geography or related natural sciences who are eager to explore the causes, impacts, and solutions of climate and environmental change. It suits those who wish to deepen their scientific expertise while working in an interdisciplinary and practically oriented academic environment.
Special Program Features
A Mobility Window Designed for Your Future
Thanks to a dedicated mobility window in the second academic year, students can pursue a semester abroad or a practical internship—with strong institutional support to gain international experience or explore career paths through real-world engagement.
From Ancient Climate to Modern Cities – Explore Climate Through Time
This program combines diverse disciplines—from paleoclimatology and geoarchaeology to risk analysis, soil science, and urban climatology—offering students a broad scientific foundation and the chance to specialize in future-relevant research areas.
