Course Description
The master's degree program "Management and Markets" is a consecutive full-time degree program with a regular study time of four semesters that has a modern and original profile. It offers its students a general education that links business administration and economics equally in an interdisciplinary manner. Decision-makers must be able to handle complex corporate interrelations as well as the surrounding markets. They are to successfully accept business and economic "focus on humans" challenges in national and international contexts.
The focus of the M.Sc. Management and Markets are equivalent in the business administration and economic "focus on humans" - whether as customers in product markets, as human assets in labor markets, or as communication target groups in information markets.
To understand and shape people in the context of business, companies, and markets, modules offer insights in business administration and economics that extend on the principles from the bachelor studies. There are also three comprehensive specializations:
- Human Resource Management and labor markets.
- Management of new media and information markets.
- Marketing management and sales markets.
The curriculums of the M.Sc. Management and Markets teach the current state of research, in particular also that of the business management and economic research of the department of economics, business information systems, and economic law with their close integration into the economically strong region of South Westphalia.
The graduates of this master's degree program can work in many professional areas and pursue management careers, among others in large and medium-sized enterprises, corporate consultancy firms, public administrations, non-profit organizations, and associations, as well as in business-scientific research.
