Requirements
Qualification Requirements
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in a subject-related course of study with a proportion of studies of 120 ECTS points in mathematics. Students from other degree programs can also be admitted if the required mathematical qualification is met.
University entrance qualification valid in Germany.
Minimum standard period of study: 6 semesters.
You can apply with a provisional bachelor’s certificate or a transcript of grades as long as you have your bachelor’s diploma at hand by the time of enrollmеnt.
A final grade of at least 3.0 or equivalent qualification has been completed or the applicant is among the top 40% of his/her year.
If you have not yet finished your bachelor’s at the time of application, you can apply with a provisional certificate/transcript of records with an average grade of 3.3 or better. In this case, admission is only granted provisionally and it expires automatically if the final certificate shows a grade lowеr than 3.0.

Application Documents
You will need the following documents for your application:
- Proof of general or a relevant subject-related higher education entrance qualification.
- Proof of the existence of a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Mathematics (relevant degree with a standard period of study of at least six semesters, e.g. Bachelor's, Diplom, Staatsexamen with an average grade of 3.0 according to the German grading system). If you have not yet finished your bachelor’s at the time of application, you can apply with a provisional certificate/transcript of records with an average grade of 3.3 or better. However, you need your bachelor’s certificate by the time of enrollment. Your degree must comprise 120 ECTS points in mathematics.
- Curriculum vitae.
- Proof of academic and examination achievements (e.g. Transcript of Records and Syllabus/Course Descriptions).
- The completed questionnaire for admission to the MSc in Mathematics.
- Proof of English language skills (see language requiremеnts).
