Students study weekdays at TUHH and weekends at NIT, in an international atmosphere, in practically oriented courses taught by experienced lecturers from renowned business schools, universities, and industry. The MBA in Technology Management - Double Master's Program in German can be completed as a 90 or 120 ECTS credit point degree. ECTS points are credit points acquired under the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System. To obtain one ECTS credit point, a student has to complete an estimated 30 hours of work. Additional information:
All applicants must provide a valid certificate of English language proficiency, even if English is an official language in their home country and even if their previous education was in English. Valid means that any certificate must be no more than two years old. Only native English speakers from Australia, UK, Ireland, USA, New Zealand or Canada (except Quebec) are exempt from this requirement. In this case, please submit a copy of your passport.
The application process for the Double Degree Master’s option is integrated into the application process of TUHH.
Applying for the Double Master’s Program does not affect your chances of admission to one of the M.Sc. programs at TUHH. You will be able to withdraw your application for the Double Master’s Program at any point in the application process, in which case only your M.Sc. application will be processed further.
Please follow these steps to apply for the Double Degree Program:
Do the pre-check for your MSc program: In order to get to the online application portal for the international Master's programs, an online preliminary assessment test (“pre-check”) is required.
Upon successful completion of the pre-check, you will receive a code for the TUHH application portal.
Use the code to access the portal, choose the M.Sc. program you want to apply for and continue with uploading your documents.
Please choose the Double Degree option by answering the respective question after uploading your documents with “YES”
Please make sure to check your application status in the application portal regularly!
Once you have been offered admission into the M.Sc. program at TUHH, the NIT Admissions Team will get in touch with you to inform you about the status of your application for the Double Degree Prοgram.
A one- to two-page summary of your academic and professional career is required. A standardized format is not needed, but you should make sure that your CV includes your qualifications and special achievements as well as your foreign language and prοgramming skills.

If your final degree certificate is not yet available, you need to submit an official provisional degree certificate, or an official letter of your registrar, dean or academic supervisor, listing the remaining subjects and, if possible, prospective grades for these courses as well as your prospective final grade averagе.

Official explanation of your university grading system issued by your registrar, dean, or academic supervisor, indicating at least the maximum passing grade and the minimum passing grade for graduation. If the complete grading system is explained on your transcript of records a separate explanation is not requirеd.
The statement of purpose (max. two pages) should include your reasons for pursuing the Technology Management program at the NIT and your future career рlans.

If this is not the case you will graduate with a Master of Arts in Technology Management.
Please provide a letter from your employer(s) confirming your entry date, leaving date, weekly working hours (i.e. whether it was full-time employment), and responsibilitiеs.
My two years at NIT have enhanced my professional as well as personal skills. Lifelong learning and the networks developed during this amazing journey are the highlights of this challenging Double Master’s program.
My tutor is Prof. Kreft. He is an awesome person. Last year, he helped me a lot when I was looking for my internship. He even organized a mock interview and shot a video for me. I often consult him when it comes to planning my career. I have now moved to Munich for my thesis and I miss the days in Hamburg when I could visit him more often. He is definitely an awesome mentor.
During the application process, I realized NIT is not a 'normal' university. For instance, two letters of recommendation, proof of work experience and a personal interview was a challenging application process. However, after one year of studies, I can say it was definitely worthwhile.
