Course Description
The MSc program "Nature Conservation and Landscape Ecology" integrates societal goals of nature conservation with cutting-edge landscape ecological research. The program focuses on providing expertise in nature conservation and critically advancing conservation concepts amidst rapid global changes, emphasizing both regional and international perspectives.
Students engage in research projects, gaining an understanding of conservation-relevant landscape ecological relationships and their scientific classification. The program employs both traditional methods and innovative approaches, such as numerical modeling for scenario derivation and digital image processing in conservation monitoring. Landscape processes are assessed within the framework of societal negotiation processes. The scientific knowledge acquired in the master’s program equips graduates to develop and implement innovative conservation solutions.

A higher education degree (domestic or international) in Agriculture, Geography, Geoecology, Landscape Ecology, Environmental Sciences, or a related fiеld.
