Application Procedure & Selection
The application for a study place is made with the application form provided by the Albert-Ludwigs-University for admission to study in the Master of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences. The application form must be filled in completely and signed. The following documents must be enclosed with the application for admission:
- An officially certified copy of the certificate of the first university degree.
- A meaningful overview of all study and examination achievements of the first university degree (transcript of records) in an officially certified copy.
- Approved proof of sufficient language skills in a certified copy (see language requirements).
- A tabular curriculum vitae in German or English.
- A letter of motivation (statement of intent), written in German or English, of one A4 page, in which the applicant gives his/her personal motives for starting the master's program.
If the documents required are not in German, English or French, an officially certified translation in German or English is required.
If the applicant has already completed university studies in a course of study at the time of the application closing but cannot yet provide a copy of the certificate of the completed degree, it is sufficient to submit a confirmation from the university that the degree was completed and with which overall grade, as well as a performance overview with details of individual grades and ECTS points earned. The officially certified copy of the certificate of the first university degree must be submitted to the admissions committee immediately, but at the latest when enrolling.
If the applicant has not yet completed his/her university studies by the application deadline, he/she must prove that he/she has probably met the admission requirements by submitting a certificate from the university stating all the work already completed (including grades and details of ECTS points earned) and a confirmation from the university confirming the grading of the thesis or, alternatively, that the thesis has been submitted or at least that the thesis has been registered. In this case, admission shall be granted on condition that the successful completion of the course of study is proven to the Admissions Commission immediately, but no later than upon enrolment, by means of an officially certified copy of the certificate of the first university degree.
The applicant must submit the application documents to the admissions committee for the master’s degree:
Faculty of Chemistry and Pharmacy
At the request of the admissions committee, the originals of the certificates and evidence mentioned are to be presented.
