Course Description
The demands on the state, administration, and international organizations have changed significantly in recent years, and more and more generalists with good training in political science are being sought. The master's degree in Politikwissenschaft in Potsdam is ideally suited to these high demands. It offers you a unique combination of political science theory and practice as well as specific knowledge of how public administrations work.
Content of the course
Potsdam's political and administrative sciences, which include the research-oriented master's degree program in political science, cover a wide range of topics in teaching and research. A common research focus is on public policy and management as well as on research into new forms of governance. Other focal points are:
- Politics and governance in Germany and Europe,
- Political theory,
- International politics/international organizations and policy areas,
- Comparative Politics.
You can set individual priorities and choose whether you want your studies to be more research- or application-oriented.

Bachelor's degree in politics or administration. In principle, it is also possible to apply with university degrees in similar fields.
