Requirements
Qualification Requirements
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent).
Minimum standard period of study: 6 semesters.
Relevant are courses of study (e.g. economics, mathematics, sociology, psychology, epidemiology, public health, statistics, data analysis) with a quantitative focus (statistics, mathematics, econometrics, empirical methodology, etc.) with at least 20 credit points (CP) or ECTS. If the quantitative focus does not consist of mathematics and statistical knowledge in the amount of at least 10 CP or ECTS each, access can be linked to the condition of completing approximation studiеs.
It's not a requirement, but a lesser GPA than 4 won't get you a good score for the admission procеss.

Application Procedure & Selection
Application Documents
The application documents must be submitted in due time to the student secretariat of Bielefeld University and contain:
- The diploma of a previous degree and the associated documents (transcript, transcript of records, diploma supplement, or similar) that provide information about the individual course of study, the completed modules, the achievements made during the course and their evaluations, and the individual professional profile of the completed course. If the university or professional academy at which the applicant obtained the previous degree does not issue such documents for the applicant, correspondingly meaningful documents must be submitted (e.g. performance certificates).
- If there is no diploma from a previous degree, a provisional final document with a provisional final grade and/or a current transcript of records or correspondingly meaningful documents will be submitted.
- Optionally, an explanation of a maximum of 500 words can be added to the application documents, in which the qualification of the previous degree for this master’s degree and, if applicable, further knowledge and qualifications are presented.
- If the application documents are not submitted in German, a certified translation in German or English must also be submitted. If the original application documents are in English, they can be submitted without a certified translatiοn.
