Qualification Requirements
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in the field of economics or geography.
The required knowledge is present if the corresponding degree demonstrates at least 50 credit points (LP) in technical basics. Of the 50 CP, at least 30 CP must be proven in economics or geography (without method modules), up to 20 CP can be proven in social sciences (without method modules).
Methodological competence in the form of at least 10 CP in the fields of qualitative research, mathematics, statistics, econometrics, cartography, empirical social research or empirical economic research must also have been achieved in the completed course. Evidence of the transfer of knowledge from the areas mentioned must be provided, not of its application, since the master's program is more research-oriented.
The examination board can combine the admission with the condition that additional study achievements and/or examination achievements of a maximum of 30 credit points are completed. In this case, the course can be extended accordingly.
It's not mandatory, but if your GPA is less than 3.0, you won't get any score point in the admission process.
