Course Description
The Master’s in Systems Engineering for MEMS or Biomedical Micro Engineering at Kaiserslautern University of Applied Sciences offers an interdisciplinary approach to advancing micro-electro-mechanical and biomedical systems. Students develop expertise in MEMS technology, biomedical micro-engineering, and gain applied skills essential for the evolving high-tech industry, preparing them to engineer cutting-edge solutions with a focus on innovation and sustainability. The program can also be studied part-time.

Qualification Requirements
Professionally qualifying university degree in one of the Bachelor's degree programs Micro- and Nanoengineering (MNE) or MNT, Biomedical Micro Engineering (BME), Applied Life Sciences: Applied Bio-, Pharmaceutical and Medical Sciences (ALS) at Kaiserslautern University of Applied Sciences with a total of 210 ECTS and a grade of at least 3.0.
Applicants for the Master's degree course may also apply if they have obtained a professionally qualifying degree in another degree course at a state or state-recognized university with a total of 210 ECTS, which the admissions committee has confirmed as related in terms of content. In this case, further conditions may be imposed to fulfill the admission requiremеnts.

Aptitude for the Master's degree program is determined in the assessment procedure in accordance with the FPO on the basis of professional and personal aptitude.
In the case of foreign university entrance qualifications that are assessed and admitted at 180 ECTS Bachelor level, proof of German language skills at C1 level must be provided in accordance with the enrolment regulations.
Otherwise: Proof of German language skills by means of a general language examination certificate B1 (CEFR) from a recognized language institute (e.g. telc, Goethe-Institut, TestDaF).
All applicants whose native language is not English require proof of a B2 general language examination certificate (CEFR) from a recognized language institute (e.g. IELTS, TOEFL).&nbsр;
