Course Description
The Master of Science in Transportation Economics at TU Dresden is an advanced programme designed to address the multifaceted challenges of modern mobility. The programme integrates economic theories with practical applications in transportation, with a particular focus on areas such as automated driving, electric vehicles, drones, and high-speed railways. Students will develop expertise in intermodal mobility, sharing technologies, and the utilisation of big data for transportation infrastructure and financing. The curriculum comprises mandatory modules in methodological knowledge and elective modules that permit specialisation in computational logistics, transport policy, spatial and environmental economics, statistics, and data analytics. Graduates are well-prepared for careers in international companies, public organisations, policy consulting, and research institutions, particularly in roles connected to traffic and data science. The programme's comprehensive approach equips students with the skills needed to design and manage sustainable transportation systems in an evolving global landscape.
