Studying biology to become a high school teacher means introducing students to the wonders of life in all its facets—from the smallest cell to complex ecosystems. As a biology teacher, you explain how the human body works, why plants photosynthesize, how evolution shapes species, and what role microorganisms play in our lives. Hardly any other subject is so closely related to people and everyday life: health, nutrition, genetics, climate change, and species extinction are topics that directly affect and move young people.
