German - Teacher Education Academic Secondary Education [Gymnasium] State Exam Programs in Germany (2026/2027)

Becoming a high school German teacher means equipping students with the most important tool for education, participation, and self-expression: language. As a German teacher, you promote reading, writing, and speaking, and help young people understand complex texts, express their thoughts clearly, and critically engage with the media. You also introduce your students to the world of literature, from Goethe and Schiller to Kafka and contemporary authors.
